We did not forget the song nor the protection God promise us. Putting melody to the verses, the song became a declarative song. It describes Jesus as a mother hen, covering us with His feathers. SURELY, God delivers me from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. But news of people passing away due to SARs was heart-breaking and people who knew those who died were afraid for themselves. The outbreak was not widespread, unlike this COVID-19 outbreak nearly 20 years later. I had just returned to Singapore after completing my studies in Australia.
